ONE WORLD FOR ONE TOWN
INTRODUCTION:
We are talking about a critical moment after the collapse of the world at the end of 2021. Somebody from the stars or from other dimensions (who knows… this is for another story) decided to save the humanity. Each town, each village, each city was sent, separately, to a different compatible world in the Universe. A new world with similar gravity, atmosphere, edible feeds for people, water, compatible nature… These worlds were maybe a new world created by somebody or just a previously modified-terraformed place for the new tenants. The rules were only one town per world, no problem, the Universe is a big place full of space, stars and many other things. Concretely, the city selected for this story, is the city of Montilla which was a town previously located in the province of Córdoba in Spain. A place with 24000 inhabitants.
And… December, first of 2021. People going normally to buy food, some of them without the mask, some of them with the mask (because of the unforgotable situation of the virus during this year). After the vaccine, the “new normality” started. People started another time to see friends, to take a beer freely, to buy freely… open shops, etc. But… what about the Earth’s planet state? It was normal apparently. However, the irreversible worldwide contamination with heavy metals, the high levels of the greenhouse gases and many other types of contamination resulted in an irreversibly deadly process for the humans. The Earth was going slowly to change the environment and this change will be mortal for humans, at least for the next 100 000 years until the new equilibrium would be reached by the Earth Nature. And, somebody decided to change the situation, somebody from somewhere.These entities or something, just in a flash, in less than one millisecond, teleported all the city of Montilla to somewhere. But, what about the people traveling between cities? They had bad luck; they then found an empty place in the place where the main town was located… And… what about the citizens in the city? We will see>>>
THE START:
The city was located on a plain between green forests, the trees were similar to pine trees, apparently or maybe just pine trees. Between the trees, many types of vegetable plants with many colors, from green to red, from grey to yellow. These plants with many fruits… just question of time to the people to start to eat them after having empty food reserves in the city… They were using their goods until they could. They didn’t have new energy or food, sources so they had to start to look around after overcoming the fear.
What about this new world?
The new place was similar, apparently, to the Earth, blue sky with clouds, forest quite particular because of its colorful vegetables… no animals, apparently… the soil was red-brown. All plains except a small group of hills located around 30 Km from the city. The weather was warm, about 25 °C all the time, and the humidity around 60 %. So, continuous stable weather.
The city was unmodified, the structures, buildings, cement roads, the floor, all was the same. Nevertheless, many things were going to be affected by the normal corrosion structures and time olding effect so the people started to need new materials for reconstructions, wood, stone, water (a river located at 5 Km was found by one young guy some days after the day zero of the teleportation in the opposite side from the sawn hills).
What about the city organization? Government? Sanity? Because the food was not a problem after testing by obligation the fruits from the vegetables (no animals were found, just the present animals in the city started to go around… at least the animals which survived the hungry people who were conservative about to eat a new type of food). The old-established government was temporally continuing its work as it was possible. However, it was a question of time to decide what to do next.
